Hope Greenberg & Catherine Cantave
We met while working together at the clothing brand Joe Fresh and quickly realized our complementary left brain (Catherine) and right brain (Hope) talents could form a distinct merger. And so, in 2014 we set out to build a digital media agency that could offer brands something we didn’t think was out there–equally strong creative and strategic services. Today, Soapbox Strategists works with clients who understand that great content requires equally great optimization, and that both are a holistic part of an overall marketing plan.
Hope’s content expertise extends from magazine publishing: She spent nine years as the fashion director at Lucky Magazine, prior to which she was the fashion director at Self Magazine and an editor at Mirabella and Harper’s Bazaar. Most recently, Hope has served as an editorial, product, partnership, marketing and public relations consultant for established and emerging brands including Kate Spade, Joe Fresh, Target, Jennifer Fisher Jewelry, Kenneth Cole, Banana Republic and Shae NY.
From her years of experience at Lucky, the first magazine to merge content and commerce, Hope has made her mark helping brands define their voices and create original, results-focused content and marketing initiatives. She developed brand blogs for both Kate Spade and Kenneth Cole; co-authored Kate Spade’s "The Guide to Living Colorfully" book set; partnered on the curation of Lucky’s yearly signature event, Lucky Shops; and spearheaded the relaunch of the Joe Fresh global social media program.
With an MBA in strategy and new media technology from New York University Stern School of Business, Catherine is truly a social media and digital insider. She has worked with fashion, beauty, luxury lifestyle and consumer brands, as well as Fortune 500 corporations. Catherine has held positions at HL Group, The Arnell Group, MRY/LBi, Gin Lane Media and Joe Fresh. Informed by both her professional background and education, Catherine’s approach to social media ensures that it is holistic to the entire brand experience. She has been responsible for prescriptive strategies that recognize the value of consumer insights and creative engagement in delivering business solutions.
Catherine specializes in generating measurable ROI and has consulted for brands including Amazon.com/Fashion, Coca-Cola, Adidas by Stella McCartney, Aritzia, Stella Artois and Violet Grey.
